Common Troubleshooting Issues

As with any software or module, there are common problems users may face when using the OpenUI. Here are a few. Additional support is available at http://www.openui.org

The OpenUI Wizard just times out, asking again for the license key.

·This can be caused by a number of different problems, some that may go away and some that may not. Here are some steps to try that will help resolve the problem:
1.Try it again. Sometimes a one-time internet problem can cause a timeout
2.Try logging into your admin using the non-secure (http://) form URL.
3.Go to OpenUI Support and open a trouble-ticket. We'll send you out a Manual Installation Package.

The OpenUI Wizard gives a "File Staging Error" or "File Download Error".

After installing a third-party module, no changes are seen in the store.

·When self-installing the OpenUI™, users skip the step of selecting the OpenUI as the store's layout. See Page 2.

·If you have installed two modules that work with or "overwrite" the same area or screen, they may not work together. For example, there are various modules that totally rewrite the category screen. Since these modules essentially do similar things, not only do they not work together, the installation of two different ones is counter productive. Contact the developers for specific issues.

After inserting tokens into my Headers & Footers, I do not see any changes.

·Tokens must be activated in the store.

·Tokens must be preceded with %OUI%.

I cannot view full OpenOrders™ stats in the admin.

·Full statistics are only available by purchasing an OpenStatistics™ license. Please see the OpenUI™ website for more information.

Customers see two Select One options in product attributes pull-down menus.

·If you activated the <Select One> feature in the OpenUI™, you do not need to include a select one option in any menus in your attributes.
