And you thought OpenTokens™ were cool. You haven't seen anything yet. The OpenDesigner™ allows you to essentially redesign the different screens of Miva Merchant that you have grown to know and love.
The OpenDesigner™ gives you total control over your stores Look & Feel. It gives you the ability to create Objects, assign those objects to Sets, and group those Sets into Themes. This not only allows each product/category to look different in your store, but the entire look can be changed based on almost any criteria (such as date/time, affiliate, user, price/availability group, etc).
On the Objects tab, you can view/edit/delete and create OpenObjects. These objects are then available for selection on the Sets tab (if desired) and/or they can be embedded anywhere in any OpenToken string via the token %OBJ()%. From this tab, you can enable/disable objects, and also optimize them by the "Enable Hook Points" checkbox. When not "enabled", all hook points are stripped out of the object, enabling it to function quicker then normal. Think of these "objects" as reusable building blocks.
